Rooms We Made started the way most good home decor ideas do — with a room that just wasn’t working, a very tight budget, and a lot of stubbornness. Instead of hiring it out, I decided to figure it out myself, one weekend project at a time. Somewhere between the paint fumes and the furniture rearranging at midnight, I fell in love with the process, not just the finished room.

My philosophy

A home doesn’t have to be perfect to feel good. It just has to feel made – chosen, arranged, and cared for by the people who live in it. That’s the whole idea behind this blog: rooms that are made, not bought off a showroom floor.
